TTD Releases 56,593 Tickets Online for the month of April 2018


Tirumala, 5 January 2018: The TTD on Friday released an online quota of 56,593 arjitha seva tickets by 10am for the month of April 2018 to be performed inside the temple of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala.

Among these tickets, the premiere sevas includes 10,658 which will be made available under the electronic dip system.

OTHER EXCERPTS

Before taking the calls from the pilgrims, TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal briefed about the various developmental activities taken by TTD in December 2017.

Ø  Henceforth the devotees who prefer to book seva tickets in online quota, will be given time to register for four days in the place of seven days which was in practice earlier. Those who get the tickets confirmed in electronic dip will have to do the payment within three days.
Ø  Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) was a huge hit among pilgrims when it was launched on an experimental basis in Tirumala for a period of six days from December 18-23 to avoid unnecessary waiting by free darshan pilgrims in queue lines and compartments. TTD has set up 117 counters in 14 locations and issued time slotted darshan tokens. Devotees expressed immense satisfaction with this new system.In six days 96,047 tokens were issued.
Ø  Following the feedback from the pilgrims, we will commence this system in a full-fledged manner from second week of March. Counters will be set up both at Tirupati and Tirumala.
Ø  Devotees can book accommodation for the month of April from January 9 on wards in advance booking.

Ø  Record number of 1.75 lakh pilgrims had Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan on December 29 and December 30. TTD has made elaborate Annaprasadam, beverages, water supply and security cover to devotees.

Ø  Special Privilege Darshan to aged and physically challenged on January 9 and 29, for parents with children below five years on January 10 and 30.

Ø  Gopuja on January 12 in two Telugu States. On the auspicious occasion of Sarva Ekadasi on this day, the Gopuja will be observed in selected temples.

Ø  Rathasapthami or Surya Jayanthi will be observed in Tirumala on January 24. The Lord will take ride on seven vahanams on this day.

Ø  Huge reception for TTD's maiden attempt of sale of diaries and calendars in online. So far more than 30thousand copies were delivered by Postal Department.
