address to the Religious Leaders, Ulema and Scholars at Taj Krishna:
Addressing the Meeting
Iranian President expressed great pleasure in visiting the India and especially
Hyderabad City when victory of Iranian revolution is being celebrated in Iran.
Later on the Iranian
President described the Historical, Cultural and Economic Relations between the
Iran and India. Since centuries Iranian people migrated to India and Hyderabad.
Indian culture was enriched due to the interaction between the Iranians and
Indians. Great Iranian poets , scholars and artisans also came to India.
Iran is an Islamic country
it wants to promote the goals set by the Quran and the teachings of Prophet Mohammed.
We believe that Islam stands for love, fraternity and peace among all the
people. Islamic revolution of Iran also stands for the goal set by the Quran
and The Prophet Mohammed.
Iran’s policy is to bring
all the muslims together brushing aside the differences among them. We believe
that Shia and Sunnis are brothers to each other.
Similarly, Iran wants to
have friendly relations with its neighbours including India and promote spirit
of brotherhood and peace.
Prophet Mohammed teaching’s
are relevant to the people of the world. It is the duty of muslims to convey
the Prophet’s teachings to the world.
Dr.Hassan Rouhani said;
Islam is not a religion of violence and it is a religion of Peace, Love and
Brotherhood.
In the beginning Iranian
President was welcomed by Mr. Mahdipur. Afterwards Mufti Khaleel Ahmed Vice
Chancellor of Jamia Nizamia also addressed the meeting and stressed on the
unity of the Muslims.
The Meeting attracted many
Shia and Sunnis muslims not only from Hyderabad but from Chennai and Bangalore
etc. Politicians and cross section of city’s elite also attended the meeting
like leader of the opposition in the Council Mr.Mohd. Ali Shabbir, Mr. Amin
Jafri, MLC and Mr. Farooq Hussain, MLC and others.
At the end of the meeting
people rushed to shake hand with the His Excellency The President of Iran out
of Love and respect for him.
