KTR reviews arrangements for World Congress on IT

IT Minister KTR reviewed the arrangements being undertaken for the upcoming World Congress on IT, along with the NASSCOM leadership team at Camp Office today.

Mr  R Chandrasekhar, President NASSCOM, Mr BVR Mohan Reddy, Founder & Executive Chairman, Cyient Limited and Mr CP Gurnani, Managing Director and CEO, Tech Mahindra Ltd. met Minister KTR today, as part of the NASSCOM delegation.

Minister said that it a matter of pride for Hyderabad city and Telangana state to host this prestigious IT conference.

Minister said that all the state government agencies are already geared up to ensure smooth conduct of WCIT.

The NASSCOM leadership gave an overview of the Conference and explained the preparatory work underway for WCIT.

Hon'ble PM has been invited as the Chief Guest for this program. A confirmation from PMO is being awaited.

A host of dignitaries, including Hon. Ranil Wickremesinghe, PM of Srilanka, Union IT Minister Sri Ravishankar Prasad, Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekar Rao and ministers from Canada, China, Armenia, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan would be participating in WCIT.

A host of top level executives from IT industry across the globe would also attend WCIT.

Minister KTR said the state government is making arrangements to ensure the visiting dignitaries are accorded a warm welcome and are taken care of during their stay in Hyderabad.

Minister also instructed that arrangements for coverage of the event in TV, Print media and Social Media should be made.
