Lord Kapileswara Rides on Makara Vahanam

Tirupati, 9 February 2018: On Day 4 of  Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple  BTU Lord rode on Makara vahana in Somaskanda murthi avatar.

The Vahanam went around Kapilatheertha road, Anna Rao circle, Vinayaka Nagar L type quarters, Hare Rama Hare Krishna temple, NGO colony Alipiri bypass blessing devotees who worshipped with camphor harati, chakka bhajans, and Kerala drums all along.  

Makara, a transport of Ganda devi had in turn earned blessings of Shiva and become his vehicle says shaiva agama lores. Thereafter the priests performed Snapana Thirumanjanam to utsava dieties  Somaskandamurthi and Kamakshi with honey, milk, curd, fruitjuices and sandal paste.

As part of the Brahmotsavam the Lord will ride on Sesha vahanam tonight symbolising Adisesha as Shiva and source of spirituality in universe.

As part of the Brahmotsvams chakka bhajans,Kolatas, Venkanna godugu, were performed by the teams from Tirupati - Smt S Dhanalakshmi,K Murali, Sr K Pachappa, and Smt T Anasuyamma.

TTD local temles DyEO Subramanyam, AEO Sankara Raju,Chief Priest Manuswami, AVSO Gangaraju, Supdt Rajkumar, Temple inspectors Narayana and C Murali krishna particiated in the event.
