Grand Ankurarpanam today for Pushpa Yagam at Sri Kodandarama Swamyvaari Temple

GRAND ANKURARPANAM TODAY FOR PUSHPA YAGAM AT SRI KRT

Tirupati 21 April 2018: Ankurarpanam was performed on Saturday evening for the unique Pushpa yagam festival of

Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple.

The customary Senapadhi utsavam was performed ahead of Ankurarpanam for the Pushpa yagam festival aimed cleansing the temple of any lapses in rituals by the staff, devotees or priests during last Brahmotsavam and for Lok Kalyan (well being of world) and peace. 

On Sunday, Snapana Thirumanjanam in morning, Pushpayagam in the afternoon will commerce wherein  abhisekham will be performed for the utsava idols of Lord Kodandarama, Seetha and lakshmana with huge number of flowers. In the evening the utsava idols of  Sri Kodandarama swamy along with Sita, Lakshmana will be paraded on the mada streets of  Sri KRT. Couples keen on participating in Pushpa yagam could do so with purchase of Rs.500 ticket.

Legends say that with performance of this Yagam after the annual Brahmotsavam will avert all ill effects if any.
