Imposing Koil Alwar at Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple

Tiruchanur, 24 April 2018: The holy ritual of Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam was performed in a grand manner at Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple on Tuesday ahead of the annual Vasantotsavam from April 27th.

The temple premises comprising of pranganam, walls, roof slab, puja vessels and others of the temple were cleaned with traditional herbs like SriChurnam,Namakopu, Kasturi, turmeric,Karpooram,Sandalpower,Kichligadda and perfumed waters.

The Vasantotsavam will kick start on April 27th with Ankurarpanam ,and Swarna Rathotsavam will beheld on April 29th Snapana Thirumanjanam will be performed at the Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple for three days in the afternoon and the utsava deity of Sri Padmavati will be paraded on the mada streets in the late evenings .

Devotees interested in participating in the ritual could do so with a ticket of Rs.150/- per day and beget prasadam of one laddu and one vada .The TTD has cancelled all the arjita sevas like Kalyanotsavams, Unjal seva etc for the three days of Vasantotsavam.
