Tirumala, 25 April 2018: The grand wedding ceremony of the deities on the second day of Padmavathi Parinayotsavam witnessed huge pilgrim turnout in Tirumala.
As per the temple legend, on this day, Lord Srinivasa tied the knot to Goddess Padmavathi on the auspicious Vaisakha Suddha Dasami day.
Lord on Aswa Vahanam with His two consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi on two separate Tiruchis entered the Padmavathi Parinaya Mandpam on Wednesday evening. Like on first day, Edurkolu, Pubantata, Varanamayiram were performed symbolizing the traditional Hindu wedding.
Later the unjal seva to deities was performed amidst the chanting of vedic hymns and devotional songs.
TTD authorities, temple officials, large number of devotees took part in this celestial fete.
TTD has cancelled Arjitha Brahmotsavam, Vasanthotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva on Wednesday.
