Lord Rides on Chinnasesha Vahanam


Tirupati, 22 May 2018: On the sunny morning of the on-going annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Govindaraja Swamy rode on Chinna Sesha Vahanam and blessed devotees on Monday. The entourage of caparisoned elephants, kolatas and drum beating enhanced the devotional quotient of the parade. In the Srivaishnava traditions of Agama the Chinna Sesha Vahanam is very sacred and the devotees befit Yogasiddhi phalam.

As part of the Brahmotsvams, Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed in the afternoon with milk, curd, honey, sandal paste, fruit juices and coconut water to the utsava idols of Lord along with his consorts. The deities was accorded unjal seva in the evening and parade on the Hamsa vahanam at night.

Pontiffs Sri Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy, Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, Local temples DyEO Smt Varalakshmi, AEO Sri Udayabhaskar Reddy, Supdt, Sri Jnana Prakash and other temple officials and devotees participated in the grand Brahmotsavam events through out the day.
