Gear up for Appalayagunta Brahmotsavams - TTD JEo

Appalayagunta, 8 June 2018: As the annual brahmotsavams of the famous temple of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy at Appalayagunta are scheduled from June 23 to July 1, TTD Tirupati JEO  P Bhaskar, instructed the heads of various departments to make arrangements for the same within the time frame.

A review meeting was organised in the temple premises on Friday. The JEO instructed the Civil and Electrical wings to set up pandals, necessary barricade, rangoli, electrical illuminations etc. in the temple surroundings. Later he directed the Garden Wing Superintendent to make floral decorations in a befitting manner matching the occasion.

He instructed the Annaprasadam Special Officer  Venugopal to distribute annaprasadam to devotees during the big fete and Additional Health Officer Dr Sunil Kumar to make necessary sanitary arrangements and water distribution to pilgrims. "Utilise the services of Srivari Sevakulu for Annaprasadam, Water Distribution and manning devotees in the temple as well during Vahana Sevas", he added. 

On the security front, the JEO instructed VGO Ashok Kumar Goud to utilise the services of Scouts and Guides to maintain security. He also instructed the HDPP, Dasa and Annamacharya Projects to send best artistes to perform during Unjal Seva. 

The JEO said, the annual fete will commence with Dhwajarohanam on June 23 and the important days includes Kalyanotsavam on June 26, Garuda Seva on June 27, Rathotsavam on June 30 and Chakrasnanam on July 1.
