Tirumala, 3 July 2018: Sri Venkateswara Museum in Tirumala is set to get a complete new look in the next two years, said TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal.
The EO who inspected the museum on Tuesday evening later held review meeting with Chief Museum Officer Dr PV Ranganayakulu and Engineering Officials.
Later speaking to media persons he said, the SV Museum is being visited by thousands of Pilgrims every day. With the introduction of Slotted Sarva Darshan, the number of visitors enhanced. We have contemplated to give a better look to the museum in the next couple of years.
The EO said, a few years ago, the National Institute of Designs has given a master plan to develop museum. But due to some reasons, it was not taken up that time and now we are planning for the overhauling of Museum to make it more visitors friendly", he added.
The EO said, an Auditorium was also proposed and we have now sanctioned Rs.1crore for the development of infrastructure of Museum. We have also discussed on how to display the artifacts including Musical instruments, weapons statues, scriptures, copper plates, coins etc.
There are 16 to 17 halls with different displays. The officers concerned were instructed to take one hall every two months for overall development and better display of articrafts. Like wise in the next two years, the museum will be developed in a fulfledged manner", he maintained.
In-charge CVSO Siva Kumar Reddy, SE 2 Ramachandra Reddy, SE Electrical Venkateswarulu, VGO Ravindra Reddy, Health Officer Dr Sermista were also present.
