The Kerala Health Department gears up activities in the wake of the rush at Sabarimala. Health Officials have already paid a visit to the hotels for the check-up and give instructions to the concerned the steps to be followed while selling eatables. They have also given instruction to the complete hoteliers to take up health cards.
To ensure the health of migrant workers and to prevent rat fever doxycycline tablets distributed among the vishudhi sena volunteers. Blood samples have been taken from 26 people and send to labs to determine malaria and elephantiasis. Health officials have also done awareness camps at the dwelling places of migrant workers. Health Inspector K K Santhosh, Junior Health Inspector C C Jayan, Lijumon Jacob are leading the health campaign at Sabarimala.
