AMARAVATHI, 31 January 2019: The construction of Sri Venkateswara Divyakshetram at Venkatapalem in Tullur mandal of Guntur district commenced on a religious note with Bhookarshanam and Beejaavapanam events on Thursday.
The Honourable CM of Andhra Pradesh Sri N Chandrababu Naidu took the plough after performing puja to it and dug the area by tying the plough to the bulls amidst the chanting of Veda mantras. The area earmarked for the construction of the temple with Garbhagriha was made pious and ready.
Later the Beejaavapanam was carried out where different varieties of grains were carried in Palikas (mud pots) were down in the ploughed soil by the head of the state.
Earlier the CM was explained by TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal, about the features of the upcoming temple through a conceptual sketch on giant LED screen. Later the CM was also shown the model of the temple with Mahagopuram, inner and outer prakarams, addala mandapam, potu etc.
