LEGEND OF SKVST
Rock edicts of 1433 show that 24 Vedic pundits of Srinivasa Mangapuram (erstwhile Sidda Katte) were appointed to perform Veda parayanam at Srivari Temple by Devayaya-2 of Vijayanagar Empire and granted funds also.
The temple legends also says that descendants of Tallapaka Annamacharya (Chinna Tirumalaiah) had rejuvenated it and Achutarayalu ruler of Chandragiri had exempted Mangapuram village from taxes and donated it to Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple. China Tirumalaiah also launched festivities, dailies rituals and also repairs to temple Gopuram.
In 1967 the temple was taken over by TTD from Archaka Sri Sundararajaswami and Brahmotsavams and festivals conducted since 1981.
