New Waiting Area at OGH adds to patient comfort


Hyderabad February 20th 2019: OGH administration has recently taken up several measures to enhance patient comfort in the hospital with the aid of city-based NGO, Helping Hand Foundation.

The new building IP block or the Quli Qutub Shah building which houses several key departments like Cardiology, CT theatres, Nephrology, RICU etc always have dozens of patient attenders who needed proper seating and resting place.

With this in mind, HHF has come forward and installed 16 Cement benches on either side of the QQDC block and the patient attenders who hitherto had no place to sit and rest are feeling much relived said Dr. B. Nagender, OGH Superintendent.

OGH has also undertaken repair works of flooring which was causing inconvenience to the patients at old building in old MM4 now IMC IP ward and also at the OPD Area with the aid of the NGO.

The new tiled areas are making the access smoother and easy for patients, further the OGH administration is also working on plans to improve patient flow in the OPD block in order to minimise hardship to patients coming for OPD

Similarly, sections of the old building with defaced walls have been painted to give it a fresh look and religious symbols have been put up to discourage attenders from littering and spiting and all this is being done to enhance patient comfort, hygiene and sanitation at OGH said a press release from the hospital.
