Tirupati, 30 Mar. 19: The 516th Vardhanti of patriarch of Telugu musical poetry, Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya will be observed by TTD in a big way from March 31 to April 4 at Tirumala, Tirupati and Tallapaka said Annamacharya Director Prof B Vishwanatham.
Speaking to reporters at his project office he said festival will commence with bhajans, kolatas etc. on March 31 morning at Alipiri padala mandapam by devotees and Annamacharya admirers leading a padayatra up to Tirumala. The Annamacharya death anniversary will be observed by rendering Saptagiri sankeertana Gosti Ganam at Narayanagiri gardens in the evening on April 1.
The four day long Bhakti sankeertans ofAnnamachays will be held at Mahati auditorium, Annamacharya kala Kendra in Tirupati, Dhyana mandir and 108 feet monumental statue of Annamacharya at Tallapaka, the native village of saint poet in Kadapa district. Prominent classical singers will participate, he added.
TTD is also conducting a Literary convention on Annamacharya sankeertans on April 2 and 3 at Annamacharya Kala mandir as a part of celebrations.
