Mahashanti Tirumanjanam Performed at Hyderabad

Hyderabad, 12 Mar. 19: As a prelude to Mahakumbhabhishekam which is scheduled on Wednesday in the Sri Venkateswara temple at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad, a special ritual Mahashanti Tirumanjanam was performed to the presiding deity on Tuesday evening.

In the morning the ritwiks performed Bimba Vaastu, Navakalasa Snapanam, Chaturdasakalasa Snapanam, Purnahuti. After these rituals, the devotees were allowed for darshanam till 4pm. 

Again from 4pm till 5pm, Mahashanti Tirumanjanam was performed to the mula first which provided a feast to the eyes of devotees.  The special Abhishekam was rendered to the presiding deity with various ingredients including, milk, curd, honey, coconut water, turmeric and sandal paste.

TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti and others were also present.
