Take A Firm Decision on Women Wearing Flowers in Tirumala

Tirumala, 1 Mar. 19: The Dial your EO programme in Annamaiah Bhavan at Tirumala on Friday witnessed some interesting suggestions from pilgrim callers which were attended personally by TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal.

A caller from Chennai Smt Padmavathi brought to the notice of EO that when wearing flowers are banned in Tirumala as all flowers are dedicated only in the service of Lord, then why is TTD allowing to sell flowers in Tirumala by vendors.  "A married Hindu woman believes that wearing sindhoor, flowers as sentimental. But when it is banned, TTD should not allow sale of flowers. Please take some initiative", for which the EO said her suggestion is well taken.

Another caller Sri Sridhar from Chirala suggested EO to display correct time while releasing compartments. He also suggested EO to give announcements in different languages during releasing time for better understanding of devotees. Reacting to the called the EO said he will ensure soon.

A caller Smt Aswini from Bengaluru said whether there is availability of Vastram ticket in online to which EO replies it is available only under lucky dip lottery system in Tirumala.

Sri Nandagopal from Pondicherry soght EO to select only trained teams to perform during vahanam procession to which EO said selection is done on transparent basis.

JEOs Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, Sri B Lakshmikantham, CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti, CE Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy and others were also present.
