Tirupati, 2 Apr. 19: The Sankeertans penned by saint poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya are fountain heads of vedic knowledge, strongly opinioned, Dr Medasani Mohan, the special officer of TTD Vajmeya Project.
He was speaking at the literary conference on the theme of Annamaiah sankeertan and its link to Vishistadvaita Siddhantam got up by TTD as part of 516th Vardhanti of saint poet Tallapaka Annamacharya at Annamacharya Kala mandir in Tirupati on Tuesday.
He said Annamacharya sankeertan were embodiment of concept of saranagati, Lokaneeti and Bhakti as evinced in the Sri Venkateswara mantras with prominence to all Hindu deities like Sri Rama, Sri Krishna etc.
Other prominent speakers Acharya N S Raj of Hyderabad and Acharya Boodati Venkateswarlu of Anantpur spoke on the significance and unique features of Annamacharya sankeertans.
Later in the evening, Smt T Srinidhi and Kumari B Annapoorna Madhulika from Hyderabad presented Bhakti sangeet programs followed by the rendition of Sankeertans by Sri Gurujada Madhusudhana Rao.
Director of Annamacharya project Prof Vishwanath, AEO Smt Shanti, Research assistant Smt Lata and others participated.
