Tirupati, April 1,2019: TTD Executive Officer Sri Anil Kumar Singhal directed TTD forest and fire services officials to take effective and adequate measures to contain the forest fire in the TTD forests in this hot summer season.
Addressing a review meeting of senior TTD officials in the TTD administrative building in Tirupati on Monday, the EO asked officials to take all precautionary and preventive measures to arrest the spread of forest fires. "Extend the fire lines to stop spread of the forest fires", he instructed DFO Sri Phani Kumar Naidu.
Later instructing him to commence planting of sapling in the third phase of ring road at Tirumala, the EO asked engineering and forest officials to coordinate works and keep constant supply of water. He also wanted officials to continue the tree planting operation throughout the year along the ghat roads and to supply the fertilizers from the Solid waste plant at Tirumala.
The EO instructed officials to install flex boards with devotee needed information at Sri Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Anna Prasadam Complex, Kalyanakatta, Vaikuntam Queue Complex, CRO and other areas in a uniform size. He also suggested officials to elevate the all sign boards in Tirumala to a uniform height and locate link boards of rooms near Sri Padmavathi Rest House and ensure that all boards have big letters.
He also advised officials to complete all engineering works during lean periods of devotee crowd in Tirumala. Steps taken for reuse of waste water after recycling and the ongoing queue lines works from Elephant gate to Mahadwaram should be completed by April 15.
He also suggested that pending engineering works at all TTD managed temples in Kurukshetra, Hyderabad, Appalayagunta, and Narayanavanam etc. be completed on war footing basis.
