Vontimitta, 3 Apr. 19: Keeping in view the past experiences, TTD has made elaborate arrangements for the ensuing annual brahmotsavams of Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple at Vontimitta in Kadapa district with additional arrangements on the day of Sita Rama Kalayanam, said TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal.
The TTD administrative chief reviewed on the arrangements along with District Collector Sri Harikiran and SP Sri Abhishek Mohanty and other district and TTD officials for the upcoming annual brahmotsavams in Haritha Rest House at Vontimitta on Wednesday evening. Speaking to media after the review meeting he said, under the instructions of State Government, Sri Kodanda Ramalayam in Vontimitta has been developed on the lines of Bhadrachalam of Telengana State. "The Sita Rama Kalyanam is being observed as a State Festival", he said.
The EO said, the annual mega religious fete commences on April 13 Dhwajarohanam and concludes on April 21 with Dhwajavarohanam. The Ankurarpanam for the fete will be observed on the evening of April 12 while Pushpayagam on April 22. On April 18, the most important fete, Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam will be celebrated to which nearly one lakh devotees are being anticipated", the EO added.
ON ARRANGEMENTS
Elaborating the media on the arrangements to be made for the mega religious event of Brahmotsavams at Vontimitta, the EO said, the arrangements to devotees includes Darshanam, Annaprasadam, Water distribution etc. We have planned this to nearly 5000 devotees every day during this period. However on the day of celestial wedding, elaborate additional arrangements have been mulled in co-ordination with district adiministration", he maintained.
ENGINEERING WORKS:
Following the past experience, this year we are constructing permanent structures at Kalyana Vedika. The German Sheds will be erected while some other works will be completed by next week. About 160 toilets are also constructed. A few more spots where the devotee turn out will be more have also been identified and toilets are also constructed in those places.
TRANSPORTATION
About 150 additional buses will ply on the day of Kalyanam on April 18 from Kadapa and Nandaluru from morning till late night hours to transport devotees.
ANNAPRASADAM
Food is being planned to nearly two lakhs devotees on this special day of Kalyanam apart from regular annaprasadam distribution during Brahmotsavams. Prasadam counters will be erected on both sides of Kalyanavedika. On the day of Kalyanam Six lakh water packets and Two lakh buttermilk packets will also be kept ready for distribution among devotees.
DEPLOYMENT OF STAFFS:
Deployment of Security, additional staff members, Srivari Seva Volunteers has also been planned. Over 1000 sevakulu will be deployed for the service on the day of Kalyanam. They will assist the TTD Vigilance and Security personnel and district police in manning the devotees and ensuring smooth conduct of the mega religious event.
MEDICAL STAFF
The TTD medical staff will be on 24X7 duty from April 12 to 22. Additional Ambulances and doctor teams will also be functioning all these days. They will keep ready all the necessary in view of the scorching temperatures in the season.
RELIGIOUS STAFF
The Religious staffs, Melam staffs, Vahanam Bearers, Cultural troupes will be deployed under the supervision of TTD JEO Sri B Lakshmi Kantham.
Every day there will be devotional cultural programmes to enthrall the devotees.
TTD CE Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy, Joint Collector Sri Koteswara Rao, RDO Sri Naganna and other senior officers of TTD, district officials were also present.
