Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam Performed at Vontimitta

Vontimitta, 9 Apr. 19: The traditional temple cleansing fete Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam was performed in the ancient temple of Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy at Vontimitta in Kadapa district on Tuesday in connection with annual brahmotsavams which are going to commence from April 12 onwards with Ankurarpanam.

An amalgamation of aromatic ingredients including vermilion, turmeric, Kichiligadda(a root), sandal paste was made into a fine paste and smeared all along the walls, roofs etc. in the entire temple. The puja utensils were also cleaned.

Temple AEO Sri Ramaraju, Archakas and other staffs took part in this cleansing fete.
