Tirupati, 7 April 2019: The much awaited ‘Pallaki Utsavam’ was performed on the fifth day of ongoing annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple as the processional deity of Lord Rama was taken around the four mada streets on a flower-bedecked palanquin.
The beauty, charm, elegance of a Lord Sri Rama appeared to have been enhanced on this tastefully decked Pallaki.
The procession turned out to be a visual delight for the devotees who thronged in large numbers to witness Lord Rama in all his glory. The deity of Lord Rama, in tact with the traditional bow, was seated on a golden throne and was carried by the palanquin bearers to the rhythmic beats of Melam and dance by bhajan troupes.
Temple DyEO Sri EC Sreedhar, AEO Sri Tirumalaiah and other officers and huge gathering of pilgrims were also present.
