He has been the face of Chennai based films and most of his films have encapsulated the lifestyle of Northern part. Be his acting or directorial ventures, most of them have comprised of such native backdrops. Now his upcoming film’s title “Kuppathu Raja” adds more relevance to this trait of Parthiepan as he would be playing an out and out character of this region.
Speaking on this film, he says, “I play the role of a Kingpin in a slum area and my clashes would be predominantly with GV Prakash. Having said this, there could be a literal sense of guesses on whether I’m playing negative role. This I would like to keep it under wraps.” While sharing his working experience with GV Prakash, he says, “Of course, everyone is in awe of his musical magic, but what I saw inherent in him was his acting skills. I could see that in many scenes, he delivered some strong performances casually. In addition, he has improved a lot with the stunt scenes and I am sure, this will be highly discussed in this film.”
Sharing his words of appreciation of Baba Bhaskar, “I have always been an ardent buff of engaging screenplays. Much alike Baba Bhaskar’s dance moments, even the screenplay has been crafted faster with freshness. Raciness is what I could feel throughout the narration and when dubbing the film, I was so happy to see him deliver what he had written as script.”
Scheduled for worldwide release on April 5, Kuppathu Raja features GV Prakash, Parthiepan and Palak Lalwani in lead roles with Yogi Babu, Poonam Bajwa and few others in important roles. While GV Prakash has composed music for this film, the songs have already become the favourite in list of music buffs. Mahesh Muthuswamy is handling cinematography for this film and Praveen KL has working on editing.
