Hyderabad, April 5: Pre-Ugadi celebrations were held at Raj Bhavan premises on Friday in a grand manner. The programme commenced with lighting of lamp by Hon'ble Governor Sri E.S.L. Narasimhan and Lady Governor Smt. Vimala Narasimhan and invocation song by Ms. Malavika. Fusion dance by Ms. Vaishnavi Vignesh and team enthralled the audience. Traditional tribal Gonds dance of Adilabad district Gussadi dance programme stood out as a highlight of the day's programmes. Both Telugu states will have bountiful of rains leading to good harvest seasons and peace and happiness among people according to Panchanga recitation by Sri Srividya Sridhara Sharma. Another special programme of the day was Krishna Thandavam and Varanam by the team of Smt. Manjula Ramaswamy. Delivering his Ugadi message to the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Governor Sri E.S.L. Narasimhan wished peace, prosperity and happiness to all in the coming year. Later the Governor felicitated the artists with presentation of shawl. Acting CJ of Telangana Justice Sri Raghavendra Chauhan, Acting CJ of Andhra Pradesh Justice Sri Praveen Kumar, Telangana Chief Secretary Sri S.K. Joshi, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sri Anjani Kumar, several serving and retired officers, public representatives have attended the programme.
