Tirupati, 3 Apr. 19: Take the Annamacharya sankeertans to the door steps of devotees scattered across the globe, said TTD Joint Executive Officer Sri B Lakshmi Kantham.
Speaking at the valedictory of the literary session organised at Annamacharya Kala Mandir on Tuesday as a part of the 516 Vardhanti of saint poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya, the JEO said Annamacharya penned 32 thousand sankeertans in his life span and spread venkateswara mahatyam.
He also said, though Sri Adi Sankaracharya lived for just 32 years but brought Dharmic revolution in a big way.
The JEO said Annamacharya strived for the social change and his sankeertans heralded the uniqueness of all sevas at Srivari Temple.
He said the debates of the literary session would be compiled in a book form and published during the Annamacharya Jayanthi celebrations, which commence on May 18.
Acharya VV N Rajendra Prasad, vice chancellor of SV University, TTD epic studies OSD Dr Samudrala Lakshmiah, Scholars Dr Sharat Jyotsna Rani from Hyderabad and Acharya Peta Srinivasulu Reddy from Tirupati spoke on the social agenda and historical analysis of Annmaiah sankeertans.
Artists Smt Vishalakshi and Sushila from Tirupati and Dr Surabhi Lakshmi Sharada from Hyderabad presented devotional cultural art forms.
Smt P Shreya team from Visakhapatnam presented Bhakti Sangeet program at the Mahati auditorium.
TTD Annamacharya project Director Prof Vishwanatham, AEO Smt Shanti and others participated.
