Sri Sita Rama Swamy Vari Kalyanam - A Cynosure to the Eyes of Devout

Tirupati, 15 April 2019: The most important, auspicious and sacred event- Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam took place with utmost religious fervour in the famous, ancient temple of Lord Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy in Tirupati on Monday evening.

The celestial bridegroom Sri Rama and celestial bride Sita Devi seated in all their splendor on the specially decked Kalyana Vedika and the ceremonious wedding was performed amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras by the priests of the temple.

The devotees who thronged in large numbers to witness the celestial wedding were captivated by the divine charm of the ideal couple.

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju took part in this celestial fete. Earlier he carried the silk vastrams of Lord over his head and handed over the "Sare" to be decorated to the Lord during the wedding.

The devotees chanted Jai Sri Ram once the celestial wedding ceremony was completed with aplomb.

Temple Deputy EO Sri EC Sreedhar, VGO Sri Ashok Kumar Goud and others were also present.
