Ugadi Observed in a Grand Manner at Mahati

Tirupati, 6 Apr. 19: TTD Joint Executive Officer Sri B Lakshmi Kantham said Ugadi was a festival aimed at projecting good and bad happenings and traditionally reorienting ourselves with divine support to shape up societal harmony.

Participating in the Ugadi celebrations at Mahati auditorium in Tirupati organised jointly by the TTD welfare and HDPP wings on Saturday the JEO said Sri Vikari Nama samvatsaram comes once in 60 years and brought a bounty of prosperity and well being.

Purana pundit Sri G Balasubramanya Shastri presented Panchanga shravanam and later under the leadership of HDPP secretary Dr Ramana Prasad Astavadhanam was performed by Sri Amudala Murali including scholarly participants like Narasimhulu, Dr G Chalapathi, Dr G Channakeshavulu, Dr Tejovani, Dr. Suhasini, Dr Y Parameswarayya and by Dr EG 

Hemant Kumar. 

Later on children of TTD employees presented a traditional dress competition followed by a prize distribution.

TTD DyEO Smt Snehalata and other officials and TTD families participated with enthusiasm in this fete.
