Tirumala, 3 May 19: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams is set ready to meet the needs of summer crowd in Tirumala, said TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal.
Speaking to media persons after attending to 16 pilgrim callers as a part of the Dial your EO programme held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, the EO said from this year onwards, TTD has rolled out a unique service in Srivari Seva, Pilgrim Welfare Facilitation Service. The motto of this service is to ensure that all the amenities being provided by TTD are reaching pilgrims waiting in compartments or not. The Srivari Seva Volunteers will act as Pilgrim Welfare Facilitators in this seva, he added.
For summer, apart from our regular staff, vigilance around 3500 Srivari Sevakulu and 500 Scouts and Guides have also been deployed to cater to the needs of the pilgrims, he said.
The EO said, PWFS aims to supervise, analyze the waiting time of devotees in the Vaikuntam Queue Complex, whether they are released from compartments on time, monitor the supply of Anna prasadam, drinking water ,coffee, tea, milk for children as per scheduled time, sanitation, functioning of telephones in cmpartments etc.
The EO said, Pilgrims Amenities Complex-3 is again brought into service of devotees almost after five years. Earlier, the women volunteers are used to be accommodated in PAC 3. Since now they were shifted to new seva sadan, the PAC 3 is brought back to use for pilgrims, the EO observed.
Listing out the series of festivals and religious events in Tirumala and other places, the EO said, from May 13-15 Padmavati Parinayotsavams will be conducted in Tirumala. The other important festivals includes the annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Govindaraja Temple from May 11-19, Brahmotsavams of Sri Kotirayaswami temple at Keelapatla from May 12-20, annual fete of Sri Narapura Sri Venkateswara temple at Jammalamadugu in Kadapa district from May 16-24, the nine day fete of Sri Karimanikyaswami temple, Tummuru, Naidupeta, Nellore district from May 17 - 26. TTD has made elaborate arrangements for these annual brahmotsavams of respective temples, he maintained.
