Tirumala, 18 May 19: The five-day celestial pyre seeking good rains and prosperity to flourish across the state and country, the “Kareeri Isthi Yagam” concluded on a grand religious note in Paruveta Mandapam at Tirumala, on Saturday.
This unique Yagam was mulled by Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) with the blessings of Kanchi Seer Sri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal. Purnahuti for the celestial fete was observed on the last day on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal said, in the year 2017 also we received good showers after we performed this Yagnam. This year also we are anticipating good results out of Yaga Karma. We have performed this Yagam simultaneously at Tirumala and also in Kapilatheertham in Tirupati”, he added.
Meanwhile on Saturday, the Yagam commenced with Ganapathi Homam followed by Shanti Homam and concluded with Maha Purnahuti.
Pradhana Acharya of the Yagam Sri Venkataramana Deekshitar, CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti, Health Officer Dr Sermistha, Peishkar Sri Lokanatham and other officers were also present.
