Tirupati, 15 May 19: On the day five of ongoing annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple, Lord rode on Pallaki in bewitching Mohini alankaram and blessed His devotees.
The grand vahana procession criss crossed the temple city from mada streets, Pushkarani, Sri Kodandarama Swami Temple and return journey charmed with a colourful entourage of chakka bhajans, kolatas, Kerala drums and haratis by devotees.
Legend says that by adorning Mohini avatar Lord had resolved the clash between Gods and Demons in the battle for Amrutam-the sacred nectar.
Later on snapana thirumanjanam was performed to utsava deities.
Pedda Jeeyar Swamy, Chinna Jeeyar Swamy’s, Special Grade DyEO Smt Varalakshmi, AEO Sri Uday Bhaskar Reddy and others participated.
TTD rolled out variety of cultural programs as part of on going. Brahmotsavams in which mangala dwani, Vishnu Sahasra Naman parayanam, purana pathanam, Bhakti sangeet were rendered by students of S.V college of Music and Dance College and HDPP
