Rathotsavam Observed in Tiruchanoor

Tiruchanoor, 18 May 19: The celestial Swarna Rathotsavam was observed with utmost religious fervour on Saturday in Tiruchanoor temple.

As a part of the annual vasanthotsavams, on second day morning, the processional deity of Sri Padmavathi was taken on a celestial ride on Swarna Ratham, the golden chariot along the four mada streets encircling the shrine.

The mammoth chariot was pulled by women devotees with religious ecstasy. 

Speaking on the occasion, Tirupati JEO said, the three day annual vasanthotsavam is going on in a religious manner in Friday Gardens. He said, the Augmented Realty Technology (ART) will come in to existence in the next four days and the pilgrims have to down load Padmavathi Parinayam app in their mobiles to feel the unique experience of ART. He also said, from an average turn out of 15 thousands pilgrims per day a few years ago, now nearly 25-30 thousand pilgrims are thronging the Ammavari temple. To facilitate the pilgrims, we have developed waiting hall in the cellar of old annaprasadam complex, he maintained.

Later in the afternoon Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed to the utsva murthy of Ammavaru.

Tirupati JEO Sri B Lakshmikantham ,Temple DyEO Smt Jhansi Rani and other temple staffs were also present.
