Review on Solid Waste Mnanagement Held

Tirumala, 19 May 19:A review meeting on the disposal of Sold Waste was held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala by JEO Sri B Lakshmikantham on Sunday.

The JEO directed the engineering officials to find out the methods for the speedy disposal of solid waste. Meanwhile on a day Tirumala generates nearly 90 MT of non-hazardous solid waste which includes 30-40MT of wet waste consisting of food and other bio-degradable waste while remaining dry waste including paper, plastic, glass, wood and iron waste.

CE Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy, SE II Sri Ramachandra Reddy, Health Officer Dr Sermista, Annaprasadam Special Officer Sri Venugopal, Medical Superintendent Dr Narmada were also present.
