Tirumala, 24 Aug. 19: As the annual brahmotsavams in Tirumala are fast approaching, the Special Officer Sri AV Dharma Reddy along with Chief Vigilance and Security Officer of TTD Sri Gopinath Jatti and Tirupati Urban SP Sri Anburajan reviewed the security arrangements.
The high-level review meeting took place at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Saturday. Speaking to media after the review meeting, the Special Officer said, every minute details were studied keeping in view the past experiences, on how to provide the security to a multitude of visiting pilgrims during the annual religious festival.
The SO also said, providing hassle-free darshan and vahana Seva is the ultimate goal and our vigilance in co-ordination with the police will come out with a concrete plan on the security set for the ensuing brahmotsavams, he added.
Later CVSO said, all the parking, traffic, necessary signage boards, ghat road restrictions, etc. to be made for the upcoming annual brahmotsavams have been discussed with the Tirupati Urban Police wing. In view of Garuda Varadhi works at Tirupati, we have also discussed on some traffic restrictions in the temple city. Like in every year, this year also the movement of two-wheelers will be banned from midnight of October 3 till the morning of October 5 in view of Garuda Seva on October 4", he added.
Tirupati SP told the media that a preliminary meeting was held on Brahmotsavam security. "The deployment pattern is the same with just a few changes keeping in view the last year experience. However we will come out with more details of our security set up in next two weeks time", he maintained.
Additional CVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy, ASP Sri Uma Shankara Raju, VGOs Sri Manohar, Sri Ashok Kumar Goud and other AVSOs and police officers were also present.
