TTD Aims at Protecting Desi Cows - TTD Chairman

Tirupati, 23 Aug. 19: One of the chief mottoes of TTD is to safeguard and enhance the produce of Desi Cows as a part of Hindu Sanatana Dharma, said TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy.

The TTD board chief, graced the Gopuja Mahotsavam at SV Gosala in Tirupati on the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmastami fete on Friday. Speaking on this occasion, he said there are about 2991 cattle in SV Dairy Farm as well in Palamaner Goshala owned by TTD. These cows comprises of nearly 39 Desi breeds. "We want to enhance their number by safe guarding the indigenous cow breeds", he added. 

Earlier special abhishekam was performed to the presiding deity of Sri Venugopala Swamy followed by Gopuja event.

Govt Whip Sri Chavirreddy Bhaskar Reddy, Palamaner MLA Sri Venkatesh Goud, CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti, SV GO Samrakshana Shala Director Dr. K Harinath Reddy, DyEO Smt Varalakshmi and others were present.
