Tirumala, 20 Oct. 19: Due to the recent rainfall, the various dams in Tirumala have shown progress in water levels.
The current water position in various dams at Tirumala including Kalyani Dam at Tirupati will suffice the needs for the next 295days.
While the total capacity of water storage in different dams at Tirumala is 5, 047 million litres, the present capacity is 2, 164 million litres.
The average consumption of water every day in Tirumala is 14million litres which will be reached by the water sources including Papavinasanam, Akasa Ganga, Kumaradhara and Pasupudhara, Gobarbham dams at Tirumala besides Kalyanidam at Tirupati.
With the recent rains over 50 percent of water needs have been met out. When the total capacity of all dams is 5,312 lakh gallons, the present level in all dams is 3,892 lakh gallons.
