Brahmotsavams of Sarva Swatantra Lakshmi Off to a Grand Start with Dhwajarohanam

Tiruchanoor, 23 Nov. 19: The annual Karthika Brahmotsavams of Sri Padmavati Devi at Tiruchanoor off to a religious start on Saturday with the ceremonious Dhwajarohanam.

The archakas recited the mantras as per Pancharatra Agama Vidhi and performed the fete. 

To appease all the deities, the Raagas including Kousika, Mayamalavagowla, Kaanada, Sriraagam, Sankarabharanam,  Takkesi,  Sumantha, Ekaranjani etc.were rendered by Nadaswaram artistes.

Later the Gaja Dhwajapatham was hoisted over the temple pillar in the designated auspicious hour in Vrischika Lagnam at 8.50 am. Sri Vempalli Srinivasulu acted as Kankanabhattar for the entire event.

TTD Trust Board chief Sri YV Subba Reddy,  EO Sri AnilKumar Singhal, Member Smt Prasanthi Reddy,  DyEO Smt Jhansi Rani and others were also present.
