Tirupati, 12 Nov. 19: The unique ritual, Annabhishekam was performed with celestial fervour in Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple in Tirupati on Tuesday.
As a part of the month-long religious homams that are taking place in the Lord Shiva temple at Kapilateertham in Tirupati, the famous ritual of “Annabhisheka Mahotsavam” was observed in connection with the auspicious Karthika Pournami.
The ritual began with Suddhodaka Abhishekam between 11.30am to 12noon which was performed in Ekanta followed by the ceremonious Annabhishekam from 12 noon till 2.30pm. The devotees had the rare darshan of “Anna linga” from 4pm to 6pm.
KARTHIKA DEEPAM
The famous shrine of Lord Shiva shined brightly in the illumination of ghee lit lamps on the auspicious occasion. The devotees thronged in large numbers to lit the lamps in the temple premises. The entire temple city reverberated to the chants of "Hara Hara Maha Deva Sambho Shankara".
Temple DyEO Sri Subramanyam, Suptd Sri Bhupathi, Temple Inspector Sri Reddy Sekhar, Temple Priests and Devotees Took part.
