Tiruchanoor, 20 Nov. 19: In view of annual Karthika Brahmotsavams at Tiruchanoor which are set to commence from November 23 onwards, Ankurarpanam will be observed on November 22 along with Laksha Kumkumarchana.
On Thursday morning, after Suprabhatam, Abhishekam will be performed to Mulavirat. Later the Utsava Murthy of Sri Padmavathi Devi will be brought to Sri Krishna Mukha Mandapam and Laksha Kumkumarchana will be performed between 8 am and 12noon.
In the evening, Ankurarpanam will be performed between 6 pm and 9 pm including rituals like Vishwaksena Aradhana where Senadhipathi Utsavam is carried out in the Mada streets followed by Punyahavachanam for Sthalasuddhi, Dravyasuddhi, Sareerasuddhi, Atmasuddhi, Rakshabandhanam etc.
AKHANDA DEEPARADHANA
After the Ankurarpana, Akhanda Deeparadhana will be performed and this Akhanda Jyothi will remain throughout the annual brahmotsavams of Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru.
LAKSHA KUMKUMARCHANA
This ritual commenced in Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple about 13 years ago. The Archakas will recite the Sahasranamarchana for 10-20 times on November 22 in the Srikrishna Mukha Mandapam. Devotees shall take part in this fete on payment of Rs.1,116 per ticket on which two persons will be allowed.
