Laksha Kumkumarchana Performed at Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple







Tiruchanoor, 22 Nov. 19: As a part of ensuing Kartheeka Brahmotsavams of Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple at Tiruchanoor, Laksha Kumkumarchana was performed on Friday morning.

Kumkuma or Vermilion has a great significance in Hindu Sanatana Dharma where married women wear Sindhoor on their forehead seeking the longevity of their husbands.

The event is conducted ahead of mega festivities like Brahmotsavams to ensure a hassle-free conduction throughout nine days.

The Archana is performed at the Sri Krishna mandapam between 8 am and12 noon on Friday reciting the 1000 divine names of Goddess Lakshmi. Thousands of women devotees took part in this ritual.

DyEO Smt Jhansi Rani, AEO Sri Subramanyam, archakas and other officials and devotees participated.
