Tirupati, 17 Nov. 19: Legends say that 1100 years ago Goddess Padmavathi incarnation occurred on the banks of river Swarnamukhi where the famous Temple now stands and got the name of Tirushukapuram Present Tiruchanoor.
Agama advisor of TTD Sri Kanduri Srinivasacharyulu says that Goddess Padmavathi Swayambhu idols as Veeralakshmi and Veeralakshmi in originated in Padma Sarovar.
The nine-day Brahmotsavams of Sri Padmavathi temple are held in Karthika Masam from November 23 to December 1 and Ankurarpanam is conducted on November 22.
TTD will conduct night vahana sevas half an hour early this year at 7.30 pm to 11.00 pm as against 8:00 pm practice but morning sevas will be performed as usual at 8.00 am to 10.00 am.
TTD has rolled out extensive arrangements for the grand conduction of Padmavathi Brahmotsavams. The Padma Pushkarani is cleaned and filled up with fresh waters, Colourful electric decorations from temple to Shilparamam, rangolis and cool Whitney’s on roads and portico of the temple. The health, engineering, vigilance, Anna Prasadam, departments are fully geared to smooth and grand conduction of Brahmotsavams.
