Tirumala, 26 Jan. 20: Ensuring hassle free darshan and other amenities to pilgrims by weeding out corruption, black marketeers and middle men is our pledge, advocated TTD Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.
During his R-Day address on the occasion of 71st Republic Day Celebrations in Gokulam Rest House Ground on Sunday, the Additional EO called upon the entire work force of TTD working in Tirumala, to dedicate themselves in the pilgrim service. "Pilgrims come for darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy and for all of us the pilgrims are almighty.
"During last Independence Day, we took a pledge to weed out middlemen and dalaris and we succeeded doing so in Darshan and Laddu prasadam by bringing out reforms with the introduction of SRIVANI Trust linking with darshan and making the sale of laddus in open. Still there is a need to bring some changes in reception wing and ensure that the rooms are available to common pilgrims without any inconvenience. So all of us should take a pledge to bring more reforms by this Independence Day", he added.
He also thanked all the wings working in Tirumala including Engineering, Annaprasadam, Health and Vigilance for extending timely co-operation with teamwork and making annual brahmotsavams and Vaikuntha Ekadasi a grand success. "I anticipate the same from you all in future also in all our endeavors to enhance the name and fame of our Institution globally", he maintained.
CE Sri Ramachandra Reddy, SE 2 Sri Nageswara Rao, Estates Officer Sri Vijaya Saradhi, DyEOs Sri Nagaraju, Sri Selvam, Sri Balaji, Sri Damodaram, Health Officer Dr RR Reddy, VGO Sri Manohar and other officers were also present.
