Harivarasanam Award will be given to Ilayaraja on January 15

Padma Vibhushan Isaignani Ilaiyaraja will be presented with the Harivarasanam 2020 Award. Devaswom-Cooperation and Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran will present the award at a function to be held at Sabarimala at 9 AM on January 15, the Makara Vilakku day. The award was instituted by the State Government and the Travancore Devaswom Board. The Harivarasana Award carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, sculpture, and citation.

Raju Abraham MLA will preside over the function. Travancore Devaswom Board president Adv. N Vasu, Board members Adv KS Ravi, Adv N Vijayakumar, Anto Antony MP, Devaswom Commissioner BSThirumeni, Devaswam Ombudsman PR Raman, Sabarimala Special Commissioner Manoj and Sabarimala Highpower Committee former chairman K Jayakumar will take part in the ceremony. Devaswom Board Principal Secretary K Jyothilal will read the citation. Film actor Jayaram will be the chief guest of the function.
