Tirumala, 7 Mar. 20: While asserting on the preventive measures taken by TTD to avoid Corona Virus in Tirumala, the Additional EO of TTD appealed to devotees to re schedule their pilgrimage to Tirumala if they are suffering from cough, cold and fever.
A meeting on how to tackle corona virus was held at Gokulam Rest House in Tirumala on Saturday evening.
"We have taken all preventive measures in Tirumala to prevent the entry and spread of corona virus. As a part of it, we have taken up widespread publicity through SVBC and Radio and Broadcasting announcements in the places where pilgrim and TTD employees interface and in more.
Apart from this, the health department will take up disinfection cleaning measures for every two hours in queue complexes, CRO etc.
A committee has been constituted with Health Officer, DyEOs R1, R2, and Temple to closely monitor the issue. If anyone is seen suffering from mild fever, immediately Thermal Screening will be done and any symptoms are found will be sent to SVIMS for better treatment.
We also appeal to the devotees to avoid or postpone their pilgrimage, if they are suffering from cough, cold and fever as there are chances of spreading is more in a place like Tirumala which is always abuzz with pilgrim activity especially at CRO, Darshan compartments and queue lines, Kalyanakatta, Annaprasadam etc.
"Please come with preparedness if you are visiting Tirumala and carry sanitizers and masks along with you. Maintain three feet distance to avoid the spread of infection", he added.
Health Officer Dr RR Reddy, Aswini Hospital Chief Dr Narmada, DyEOs Sri Harindranath, Sri Damodaram, Sri Venkataiah, Sri Nagaraja, Catering Officer Sri Sastry, VGO Sri Manohar, PRO Dr T Ravi and others were also present.
