Sri Vari Pushkarni Closed to Avoid Covid-19 Spread

Tirumala, 18 Mar. 20: TTD has closed down the gates of Swamy Pushkarini in Tirumala as a measure to check the spread of Covid 19. TTD Additional Executive Officer, Sri A V Dharma Reddy said that as a part of the anti-Corona Virus campaign the TTD has decided to close down the Swami Pushkarani adjacent to Srivari temple from 12 noon of Thursday until further orders.

Speaking to media persons he said since the chances of spread of Corona virus is more with mass bathing by pilgrims in the Swamy Pushkarini, it is closed for devotees. Instead, TTD has set up 18 shower baths with Pushkarini water for the sake of devotees. He said the surrounding areas of Pushkarini are also being sanitized with disinfectants every two hours daily.
