₹ 19 Cr Sanctioned for Medical Equipment at Sri Padmavati Covid Hospital - TTD Eo

Tirumala, 5 Apr. 20: TTD Executive Officer Sri Anil Kumar Singhal said on Sunday that in all Rs19 crore has been sanctioned towards the purchase of ventilators and other medical equipment at the Sri Padmavati hospital upon the request of Chittoor District Collector.

He said as per central and state governments directions TTD is extending full cooperation in fighting the Corona virus. He said ₹8 crores already handed over to the district authorities and rest  ₹11 crores will also be handed over soon.

He said besides providing 50,000 food packets daily to support homeless people during the lockdown in Tirupati rural and urban areas, TTD has allotted them its rest houses as shelter to these people during the ongoing lockdown period.
