Tirupati, 8 Jun. 20: Devotees expressed their profound satisfaction on a darshan of Sri Padmavati Ammavaru at Tiruchnoor as the darshan is reopened after a gap of over two and a half months, said TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal.
TTD EO along with Tirupati JEO Sri P Basant Kumar inspected the arrangements at Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple and Sri Govindarajaswami temple on Monday.
Speaking to media at Tiruchanoor, the EO said that TTD had closed darshan at Srivari temple on March 20 itself through the corona lockdown came into force from March 25 onwards.
Denying the false reports in social media that Srivari temple was closed and no kainkaryams were performed, he said that only darshan for devotees was suspended but all daily kaikaryas continued non-stop till date.
He said in the backdrop of relaxation of lockdown from June 8, the government had approved the commencement of Srivari Darshanam in Tirumala. The TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy and senior officials after extensive deliberations framed guidelines for Srivari darshan as per government restrictions in addition to suggestions by devotees through emails etc.
He said in an experimental way on Monday and Tuesday, TTD employees and their families are allotted darshan following norms of with social distancing of two meters distance and darshan is planned for 6000 devotees in 12 hours at the rate of 500 per hour.
The TTD EO said special care is taken to organise social distancing at all TTD local temples including Tiruchanoor, Srinivasa Mangapuram, Appalayagunta, Kapilatheertham and Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple which opened up for darshan on Monday with stringent COVID guidelines.
EO said, Tickets could be procured either online, through SMS or the counters set at the temple premises. As per government guidelines, 250 devotees are being allowed for darshan per hour.
At all temples, no Thirtham and Shatari will be given. As per government guidelines all devotees are should wear masks and sanitizers and all queue lines are sanitized every two hours, he added.
He also checked the sanitizers placed at different points in Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple. TTD Additional CVSO Sri Siva Kumar Reddy, Special Grade Dyeo Smt Varalakshmi were also present.
