Tirupati, 15 Jul. 20: As the COVID 19 positive cases are increasing day by day, TTD has permitted Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS)
to utilize the Balaji Institute of Surgery, Research, Rehabilitation for the Disabled (BIRRD) ortho hospital as an extension COVID hospital.
A meeting was held in the Conference Hall in TTD Administrative Building at Tirupati on Wednesday by TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal along with District Collector Sri Bharat Narayan Gupta and other authorities of TTD.
Upon the request of District Collector, the EO has given nod to hand over the 400 rooms capacity Vishnu Nivasam Rest House to District Administration to treat COVID patients.
The existing Slotted Sarva Darshanam token issuing counters at Vishnu Nivasam will be shifted to Alipiri Bhudevi Complex enhancing the counter numbers which are already existing here.
Later the TTD EO directed the concerned officers of TTD to provide branded sanitizers to the employees working in all local temples of TTD.
He also reviewed on the food that is being provided to employees as per the menu decided by the Employees Committee and also on the COVID tests that are being carried out for employees working at Tirumala.
Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, JEOs Sri P Basant Kumar, Smt Bhargavi, CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti, SVIMS Director Dr Vengamma, Health Officer of TTD Dr RR Reddy, Joint Collector Sri Chandra Mouli, Deputy Collector Sri Rangaswamy were also present.
