Jyestabhishekam Begins at Sri Govindaraja Swamy Vari Temple

Tirupati, 1 Jul. 20: The annual Jyestabhisekam festival at Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple commenced in Ekantham inside temple premises in view of Covid-19 restrictions on Wednesday.

With the Temple archaka Sri A T Chakravarti Seshadri Dikshitulu as Kankana Bhattar the Shatakalasa Snapana, Maha Shanti Homa were performed ahead of Snapana Tirumanjanam for utsava idols of Sri Govindarajaswami and his consorts.

Thereafter special pujas were performed at the Mandapam for kavacham before the Kavachadhivasam ritual was conducted.

Later in the evening, the utsava idols were taken out in a procession within the temple prakaram.
