Tirumala, 16 Jul. 20: TTD Chairman Sri Y V Subba Reddy on Thursday evening visited the Dharmagiri Veda Vigynana Peetham and participated in the Chatur Veda Parayanam on the occasion of holy Dakshinayana Ekadasi.
The Veda parayanams are being organized since June 1 seeking relief to humanity from pandemic COVID-19. The parayanams include all four Vedas- Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Atharvana Veda, Krishna Yajur Veda and Shukla Yajur Veda parayanams.
Besides 7 Veda Sakhas, 5 Agama Sakhas, 4 Smarta Sakhas, Divya Prabandam, Sri Venkatachala Mahatyam, Srimadramayanam, Sundarakanda, Mahabharata, Bhagavad-Gita, Sri Durga Sapthasati, Astakshari, Dwadashakshari mantra parayanams were performed.
The principal of the Veda Vigynana Peetham, Sri KSS Avadhani explained the significance of daily parayanams to TTD Chairman. Thereafter the chairman interacted with students about classes, study matters and facilities at the Vijnana Peetham.
Veda Vigynana Peetham OSD and Dyeo Sri Vijaya Saradhi accompanied the TTD chairman during his visit.
VIRATAPARVA PARAYANAM
Later the Chairman also took part in Virataparvam-Loka Kalyana Parayanam held at Nada Neerajana Mandapam at Tirumala.
He said, TTD has been organising various parayanams including Dhanvantari, Yogavasishtyam, Sundarakanda and now Virataparva Parayanam seeking global health and prosperity.
