Ankurarpanam Observed for Sri Padmavathi Ammavari TemlPavithrotsavam

Tiruchanoor, 30 Aug. 20: As part of the three day Pavithrotsavam festival slated from August 31 to September 2 at Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple at Tiruchanoor and Ankurarpanam was observed on Sunday.

 

The holy rituals of Viswaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachanam, Raksha bandhanam, Mrustsangrahanam, Senadhipathi Utsavam and Pavitra adhivasham along with Ankurarpanam

were held late in the evening.

 

It is an annual practice to perform the Pavitrotsavam in every temple to ward off bad impact of lapses, if any, during the year by either devotees or archakas.

 

As part of the festival Pavitra Pratista is held on August 31, Pavitra Samarpana on September 1 and Purnahuti programmes on September 2. In view of Covid-19 restrictions, all the programs and events will be conducted in Ekantham inside the temple.

 

Temple Dyeo Smt Jhansi Rani, AEO Sri Subramaniam and Superintendent Sri Malleswari besides archakas participated in the event.
